BOURBONNAIS - Among the primary winners
in Illinois on Super Tuesday was David McAloon, who is now
officially the Republican candidate for State Representative from the 75th District, after running unopposed.
McAloon
will be running against Democratic incumbent Careen Gordon, who was also unopposed in the primary election on Tuesday.
Like
much of the constituency, McAloon is a family man who claims in a prepared statement released after Tuesday's voting to know
what it takes to lead a family and earn a living.
“This is why I have pledged to work for the families and small
businesses of the 75th District,” he said in the statement. “I believe in the working class and will work to support
them, not hinder them.”
McAloon feels his conservative views make him a strong candidate for state representative
because, he contends, he shares the values of those he seeks to represent.
“I share their frustrations, and
I'm ready to see a change. And a change is exactly what this state needs. We have to do something different if we want to
get a different result,” McAloon said. “Like the old adage goes, ignorance is nothing more than doing the same
thing over and expecting a different result.”
McAloon's positions on the issues can
be found at www.friendsformcaloon.org, or by emailing info@friendsformcaloon.org.
“We have seen how special interests and the lack of common sense have made
raising a family harder in Illinois,” he concluded.
“It
is time for the citizens of Illinois to take back their
government.”
