Would seek increases in Homestead exemptions, double income tax credit
He
is joining fellow Republicans in a plan to give immediate property tax relief by increasing the Homestead Exemption from $6,000
to $7,500, and upping the Senior Homestead Exemption from $4,000 to $5,500.
The plan would also double the income tax credit from 5 percent to 10 percent
for the property taxes paid.
There's "too much talk
and no action," in Springfield, according to David McAloon,
the Republican candidate for state representative in the 75th Legislative District.
"Sen. Gary Dahl, R-Granville,
talked about how the Democrat legislative leaders are like three kids in a sandbox that can't get along," McAloon said. "Well,
sandbox playing time is over: It's time for the 3-year olds to come in and take a nap and it's time for the serious adults
to get in there and actually develop policies and do what they're supposed to do as representatives."

sounds off on Springfield State Rep.-candidate outlines goals of Republican effort
State House candidate David McAloon says sandbox playing time is over
in Springfield. “It's time for the adults to get in there and do something,” the Bourbonnais Republican said Tuesday about
his run for the seat now held by incumbent State Representative Careen Gordon, D-Morris
David McAloon has expressed his opposition to
such legislation that would raise taxes or fees of any kind. “It’s pretty simple; any time you raise taxes and
fees, someone loses their job.,” stated McAloon. Like many of the constituents, McAloon is aware of the affects of the
rising costs of utilities, food, gasoline, and education and knows the strain these increases have caused on working Illinois families.
But must be understood is that our ship is headed for shipwreck if we refuse
to do the grunt work that Ronald Reagan, and a few other true conservatives, like David McAloon, have been willing to do –
To work at the grassroots – to teach – and to remain confident
"This is why I have pledged to work for the families and small businesses of
the 75th District", he said in the statement. "I believe in the working class and will work to support them, not hinder them."
McAloon, from Bourbonnais, is running as a Huckabee delegate Feb. 5. McAloon will be on
the ballot for himself, too, as the Republican candidate for the nomination in the 75th House District.
Unless a stealth candidate appears next week,
conservative Republican David McAloon will have a clear field in his race to unseat Rep.
Careen Gordon in the 75th State Representative district.
David's districtwide grassroots operation will
come in handy - and he has already shown this operation is active. He has coordinators throughout the district who have
already been walking door-to-door, and a short drive in any direction reveals an early array of yard signs and 4x8 signs along
country highways.

David McAloon
“The people of this district tell me they are concerned
about taxes and bond issues. They’re also concerned about loss of good-paying jobs,” he said. “Look
at how higher business fees ran good paying trucking jobs out of state. That's what the Democrats gave us. We need to
bring productive industries back into the area and we need to cut taxes.”
"There is a constant push to raise taxes and fees while at the same time taking
away more of the freedoms from Illinois families," he said. He believes there is a better way.
Off and running McAloon announces candidacy
to seek seat for 75th district
Calling for a return to the principles of a Democratic Republic, David McAloon
of Bourbonnais formally announced his candidacy for the Illinois House of Representatives.
McAloon believes that a State Representative should be a civil servant and not a politician.
“For too long politicians have represented special interest groups and insider interests.” According to McAloon,
“They have not served the public nor the people of the district they were
elected to represent.”
“Whether its
jobs, taxes or education, the people in our district want to know they’re going to have principled leadership and representation
in Springfield, not politicians.”
David
McAloon, R-Bourbonnais, has announced his plans to challenge Careen Gordon, D-Coal City, in the November 2006 race for 75th
District state representative. The district covers all or parts of Grundy, Kankakee, Will, LaSalle, Iroquois and Livingston
counties.....
